The number of tiers in Holland who indulge in dressing colorful classics is very limited. I would be surprised if there are more than ten. Henk is in that small group. This page will give you an impression of his great abilities. I first met him during meetings of the Editorial Board of 'De Nederlandse Vliegvisser' a wellknown fly fishing magazine in Holland, where Henk served as Art Director/Editor Manager for a period of 10 years. In the years that followed we regularly got together tying flies during clubmeetings of DAAFT (defunct since 1998). He has been fishing for 35 years with the fly in different countries like Scotland for salmon, trout, and seatrout, and has been spotted in Montana on the Henry's Fork and Fox Creek, to name a few streams. Like yours truly he has travelled all over Europe to chase all species willing to rise to his flies. Henk has written 'The History of Salmon flies' for the Dutch Magazine and is still writing articles about Fly tying for Salmon flies (old samples) and easy patterns for beginning fly tiers. He give lessons at the first flyfishing school in Holland for flyfishing instructors. I'm very pleased to introduce you to my good friend ... You will enjoy his work that's 4Sure !
