The start of the contacts and friendship between Marvin Nolte and yours truly dates back to more than 14 years ago. We were both tying at the FFF Conclave in Livingston. It was on a Saturday morning, the last day of the show, that he came up to my desk, sat down and we talked for a while on several subjects, flydressing being the main topic, of course. As Flytying Chairman of FlyFair-Holland at the time, I inquired whether he might be interested in coming over to Holland to attend and tie at the biggest show on the European Continent. We started corresponding by regular mail. This led to his visit to Holland and his first tying demonstrations at FlyFair in 1990. "This changed my whole life", as he said to me a few months ago when attending his 7th FlyFair. Marvin was seen at shows all over the European Continent and the British Isles. This is certainly not the first website on which his flies can be seen and enjoyed. For more of his work I'd and tying recipes I would suggest you to check out : http://globalflyfisher.com/staff/nolte/ and http://www.flytyingireland.com/
I am ever so pleased and proud to show you the largest collection
of Nolte flies on the Web. It contains not less than 88 flies tied
by someone who has become a friend of the family over the last decade.
You will agree with me .... his creations Bar Nunn (pun intended) *S*
