Tinca Tinca ... the Tench. A member of the Cyprinid family ocurring
 in nearly all eutrophic stillwaters and very sluggish rivers throughout
 Europe, being absent only from Scandinavia and Scotland. 
 In Central Europe, tench are a much appreciated item of diet, rivaling
 only the carp as as a favorite eating cyprinid. Germans regard baked
 tench as a particular delicacy.
