Two pictures that call for a little story. You have the stand, René ....
"I have made four trips to Norway sofar and this picture was taken
last summer on the Orkla river near Orkanger. I have done a lot of
seatrout fishing in Denmark together with my Dad and fishing
buddy. However, since I became more and more interested in tying
classic, fulldressed salmon flies I wanted to put them to the test
and catch my first 'Salmo Salar'. I caught my first ever three
years ago on the river Bjora. It weighed 7.1 kilos (over 15 lbs) and
made me a happy camper. We also fished the Orkla that year".

'I absolutely had to go back to the Orkla the next year. My father
couldn't come along, and I was reluctant to make the long trip alone.
Nevertheless, I decided to go. With nine salmon in 7 days it was a trip
to always remember ! I didn't catch the real big ones, but immensely
enjoyed my trip. I usually fish with a 2-handed 15 feet rod for a 10/11
weight. Foxtail flies are my favourite.
I will spend lots of time at the vise this winter to do my classic,
fulldressed stuff which will probably end up on Bas's website.
I look forward to tying together with him for many years to come.'
